Holy Smoke
Howdy Pardners. My new cd 'Holy Smoke ' has now had the final mix and only awaits artwork and mastering to complete it. Peter Bathurst - a leading cameraman, legendary rake and bon viveur has offered to help in the photography dept. and I'm hoping to squeeze into the studio for the final mastering session in the last days of 2011. I'm very happy wit the results. It'll be available on cd baby - or do get in touch via the link below for a copy.
Gigs with Eddie
Eddie Floyd Gigs coming up, Half Moon Putney 3/4/5 June. Will be backing support acts Vaneese Thomas (Carla's sister) and blues singer Earle Green. Band also includes Carrie Campbell-Cooper who has done a wonderful job on backing vocals on my new forthcoming disque "Confidences"
New Album News
Hi! new Album nearing completion. David Ogilvy putting pedal steel on a country thing and Marc Parnell coming to finish drums, Carrie Campbell-Cooper to add beauty and backing vocals. I have some ideas for artwork but would welcome further input. I'd like to go organic and soulful to go with the live feel of the music. Message me at the link below if interested in being involved!- thanks, Cxx

Otherwise - just to say musically my New Album is cooking nicely - problem being what to leave out! As new material develops some of the previous stuff gets displaced... but the stronger material stays put. May have to do a 'Relics' collection one day. Very excited about Carrie Campbell-Cooper (or CCC as I know her) coming in to do some vocals soon!

Album Progress
Hey kids, Rock and Roll! Longtime since I posted news but here goes. On Dec 16th I go into the studio with Marc Parnell on drums. I already have 8 or 9 tracks down with Boris Williams (ex bandmate and one time Cure drummer) and Mark Heaney (Drummer for Gang of 4). Reads like a sticksman's who's who! They're all brilliant in different ways.... Love the songs and the approach is live off the floor, as few takes as possible, Hoping to complete in the New Year. Tight funding makes it a struggle, but I'm more in love with this material since 'Blue Like You' (my first solo). It's a return to my roots! Boris did ALL the drums on that record. Thanks to him!!! Cxx
